- Version 1.4 -> 1.5
- ------------------
-
- - Changed the EMULATION option so that it works for practically any CD32
- emulation around or any new ones. 'Cos of this, the Hisoft Squirrel and
- Power CD drives should work fine now.
- - Made new emulation options for reverse and forward search. This sorts out
- the Archos, Squirrel, and Power drives.
- - Made a new SHOW option so you can choose what read out you want on start
- up. Now you don't need to keep changing it when DCPlayer starts. It works
- for people without control pads too.
- - Made a new LOOP option is like the SHOW option but for repeat play.
- - Made a new PLAY option which can start playing from a track number or in
- random play mode as soon as DCPlayer starts, if there's a CD in the drive.
- - Made a NORESET option for anyone who booted from CD and doesn't want the
- CD32 to reset as soon as the boot CD is removed.
-
-
- Version 1.3 -> 1.4
- ------------------
-
- - When stopped, the shuffle button starts random play.
- - When not stopped, the shuffle button is used to shuffle through the type of
- display you get - one of track number, time since start of CD, time since
- start of track, time to end of track, time to end of CD, or nothing.
- - And the play button now ejects CDs (the shuffle button used to do this). To
- play CDs only the select button is left.
-
-
- Version 1.2 -> 1.3
- ------------------
-
- - Added an EMULATION option which makes buggy CD32 emulation work. Currently
- it has options for Archos V8 (disable eject and reverse, fix forward and
- pause) and Archos V9 (disable reverse, fix forward and pause). The Archos
- pause fix in the previous version is removed unless you give this option.
- - If you hit loop in stop mode, the last track number played got displayed by
- mistake. Oops.
-
-
- Version 1.1 -> 1.2
- ------------------
-
- - New option, CHANGE. When the DISPLAY option is on, it only makes it the
- display appear after anything changes, and then only for a little while.
- - Now pause mode recognises when the CD drive becomes empty straight away.
- - The loop button now does 'no repeat' -> 'repeat' -> 'repeat 1'.
- - An Archos bug fixed - whilst stopped, you can open as well as close the
- drive door (they can't even emulate the eject command properly...).
- - Another Archos bug fixed - when in pause and you changed track, it started
- to play again. Trouble is, searching through tracks is a bit slower now.
- Thanks to Ashley Hinton for pointing this out.
- - Thanks to David Hawthorn, Stuart Allen, and Ashley Hinton - from these
- mails I managed to work out what the 'pressing RETURN causes a pause' bug
- was.
- - And thanks to everyone who said thanks!
-
-
- Version 1.0 -> 1.1
- ------------------
-
- - The program can be started and stopped properly from the Workbench. There's
- no need for scripts or IconX or any of that rubbish. Instead you just click
- on the icon the first time to run it and again to remove it.
- - From the shell, if you run the program the first time it starts and if you
- run it again it stops (similar to the Workbench). There's no need to mess
- around with CTRL-C or BREAK any more (but they still work though).
- - You can drag it to WBStartup and it works properly too. You can even get
- rid of it later as well. Hurrah.
- - You can choose to have a display of what's happening to the CD (stop, play,
- pause, etc...) put on the screen. It's similar to the display you get at
- the bottom right of the screen when you play CD+Gs on the CD32. It stays on
- the screen all the time (even if you flip or drag or autoscroll screens).
- - Loop works properly now.
- - CDs with mixed data and audio tracks work better on the CD32 and work on
- the Archos.
- - When the drive door is open and eject is pressed, it closes (suggested by
- John Middleton, probably his most useful thought so far this year...).
